Rasha,
Malika, Kinza, and Caroline began performing together
in 2005 and quickly gained recognition for their innovative choreography
and energetic stage presence. Over the next six years, they pushed the
boundaries of contemporary bellydance and found their own unique voice
within the North Texas bellydance community.
In
early 2011, Caroline moved back home to New Orleans. Although the
other founding members were sad to see Caroline go, they were thrilled
to have their good friend, Zareen, join them as they start a new phase
in the evolution of Anahata Bellydance Company.
